The calling card of the 82nd Airborne is "Anywhere in the world in 96 hours"You can thank the C-17 for that. Without this absolute beast of an aircraft, the 82nd would be riding the slow boat across the ocean like the rest of us. Or riding Omni Air. The Moose is quite possibly the perfect aircraft for the mission set. It can go anywhere, deliver almost everything, and do it in style. My favorite pictures are always the ones landing in the desert. Or on AntarcticaOr in Alaska...Ok, I like them all. I know a few C-17 drivers (pilots) from my time at the Air Command and Staff College in Montgomery, Alabama. Great down-to-earth Americans. All of them. But at the risk of sounding sacrilegious, the real heroes are the crew and the maintainers of this fantastic aircraft. For without them, this wonderful piece of machinery isn't doing much of anything. Kind of like the C-5. Did I say that out loud? Stay caffeinated out there.

My MARSOC team in NW AFG (Bala Murghab) was almost exclusively fed, watered, re-armed, and gassed (a lot of 55gal drums…) up for ~7mo via C-17 air drops. A few Hercs helped along the way.

The C-17 is a game-changer for the 82nd Airborne, enabling rapid global deployment. The real heroes are indeed the crew and maintainers who keep it running smoothly. How do you think the C-17's capabilities compare to other transport aircraft?

Today we close out military appreciation week by celebrating the Coast Guard.Often the butt of many jokes inside the military, the Coast Guard is the one branch that does much of the real protection of our coastal waters. You hear about them saving lives of stranded boats, or patrolling the waters. You don’t hear about much of what they do otherwise.I’ve said it before - go find the clip of them boarding a Narco sub in the open ocean. It’s awesome. They are the visible first line of defense that works everyday for us because they are out there, executing every single day. While the rest of the military prepares, and then prepares, and then prepares more, the Coast Guard gets their reps through constant engagement and mission sets. That’s a huge difference. So, thank you to our Coasties, or Guardians. And stay caffeinated

Spooky. Ghostrider.Spectre.Puff the Magic DragonIf the A-10 is the best close-air support weapon system ever created, the AC-130 Gunship is second. I will take no arguments. Hell, even Aerial Resupply Coffee's dark espresso roast is named for the AC-130. Why? Because this thing is all about support. Support to our special operations folks in environments where that support might not be otherwise available. Support that comes in the form of steel. From orbit. On foreheads. Why would we need that? Because that's what we as Americans do. We find a gap in our defenses and we fix it. All in the name of giving the enemy the finger. This platform single-handedly changes the game for many of our operations. Don't believe me? Go listen to any audiobook written by a Navy SEAL, or books about special operations. Hell, just ASK a Navy SEAL. I'm sure they will tell you. The stories are there for this storied aircraft. So we salute the AC-130 today, along with all of the pilots, crew, maintainers, and contractors that work tirelessly to keep this thing airborne. All in the name of keeping Americans supported with what they need at critical times. Stay caffeinated out there.

Today we celebrate the Air Force as part of Aerial Resupply Coffee's military appreciation week. Those of us who walk everywhere take for granted that we benefit from almost complete Air Dominance and Superiority. That is because of the men and women in the Air Force. I personally benefited from close air support from the best CAS system ever devised by man - the A-10 Thunderbolt (Warthog). When I was growing up in Tucson, AZ, I used to see A-10s flying overhead ALLLLLLL the time heading to and from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. It was normal. They were just there. Did I really know what I was looking at when I was 15 years old? Yes, but not really. I found out when I was 30, standing in the desert, watching and listening to the Sound of Freedom as my good friend Steve Leonard likest to say. It is an awe-inspiring sight. One that we enjoy from the friendly side of the fence. The other side? Not so much. And all because of the countless professionals in the Air Force who do all sorts of missions so that this A-10 can fly overhead and do what it does best, for people like me and you.Today is all about the Air Force. We might give you crap about your easy lifestyle, but our lives would be much harder without you. Thanks. And stay caffeinated.

Every Marine a Rifleman. There’s something to that. The Army teaches you to be a Soldier, makes sure you understand basic tasks, puts you in a team environment, and then ships you off to the next school. And oftentimes, your job will not return you back to the idea of a complete Soldier. With the Marine Corps, that problem is eliminated from the beginning. The identity of a Marine is one with their rifle. “This is my rifle….”It’s a mindset that honestly works and creates a sense of ownership in even the basic of tasks. So - as we close out today and the appreciation for the Marine Corps - just take a minute to thank those in your life who have served. Even if they did eat crayons. Stay caffeinated.

Many movies attempt to capture the experience of boot camp.None do it better than Full Metal Jacket - the masterpiece directed by Stanley Kubrick. And while many movies or television shows attempt to show you behind the scenes of what it takes to build Marines, they all pale in comparison to the performance of R. Lee Ermey.Beyond the immortal quotes and scenes, the one thing you are left with as a viewer of this movie is that each of these Americans has entered into the eternal brotherhood of the Corps. They will forever be known as Marine. And that's a special honor that cannot be replicated, no matter how hard other organizations will try. It's why the Marine Corps hasn't changed its slogan since 1977. The Few.The Proud. The Marines. So, hats off today to the Corps as Aerial Resupply Coffee continues to salute the USMC. The Corps got theirs today. Stay caffeinated

One of the baddest MF-ing helicopters on the PLANET is the CH-53 Sea Stallion. Rated to carry an entire platoon of Marines to the battlefield and beyond, this bad boy is literally the chariot of death for whoever pissed off the United States. Just imagine the sight of this thing landing and a bunch of pissed-off Marines pouring out, only to rain steel upon your head. Better yet, just turn around and go in the other direction.Oh - and it can transport a WHOLE HELL OF A LOT MORE than just Marines. Chinook? Go sit down. The adults are talking here. It is THE heavy lift helicopter of the U.S. Military. If it lifted anymore it would have to be tested for steroids. And - it's honestly the best-looking helicopter out of all of them. At least, the ones that aren't focused on eliminating enemy armor. So - thank you, Marines, for flying this wonderful machine and delivering the goodness that is American firepower. Semper Fi. Stay caffeinated.

Devil Dog.Leatherneck.Jarhead.Boot.Crayon Eater. Recce.Roughneck.Picketpounder.Fister.Motard.Knuckle-dragger.Those who have served use these names out of affection for our brothers and sisters who served alongside of us. The rest of the world knows them by one word:Marine. Quite honestly, that's the name that strikes fear into the hearts of those who are adversaries of the United States. Because at the end of the day, you know the force that comes with that one word. It's an honor to have two of my family members who have served in the United States Marine Corps. So today is Aerial Resupply Coffee's military apprecation day for the Marine Corps. Semper Fi, brothers and sisters. Stay caffeinated.

The Navy was responsible for me joining the military. Thanks, Mav. Unless you live under a rock, you know about Top Gun. You know all about the characters and the “Naval Aviator” stereotype. And from the people I’ve met - it’s true. But there is one KEY difference. What actually happens in the Navy as a pilot in infinitely MORE AWESOME than the movies about it. Rare is a military movie like that. Usually the glorification on screen is better than real life. Not in the Navy. And that’s because of the Americans who decide to ride these rocket skids into the sky. As for me - I totally had Top Gun memorized on a VHS tape that I wore out because I rewatched it 4000 times. And while I did NOT go Navy (the Navy can’t handle The Hammer), it laid the groundwork for me. So thank you to all the Naval Aviators and sailors out there. You are awesome. Stay caffeinated.
