Change your $Cashtag
A $cashtag is a unique identifier for individuals and businesses using Cash App.
To change your $cashtag:
- Tap the profile icon on your Cash App home screen
- Select Personal
- Tap the $cashtag field
- Choose a new $cashtag
- Tap Set to confirm
To change it online:
- Log into your Cash App account at cash.app/account
- At the bottom of the left toolbar, click Account to open your settings
- Under Basic Info, locate the $cashtag section
- Click Edit, type in your new $cashtag, then click Save
$cashtags can only be changed twice. Prior versions become inactive so that they can’t be claimed by another customer. You can switch back to a previous $cashtag anytime.
